An ART-i-fact is a literary and action form, innovated by the MMHTT, and is a key element within what the MMHTT calls radical hermeneutics.
As generous gifts (with strings attached), we offer ART-i-facts to the world. An MMHTT ART-i-fact is 100% fact plus an additional 50% unrestrained, improvised, creative conjecture. Much like what sesqui linearity in mathematics does to the Euclidean spatial form, the extra 50% of a sesquifactual ART-i-fact (1 + .5 = 1.5) swells and twists the original fact, causing this piece of knowledge to spin, slowly and impossibly bulging, becoming something akin to a grotesquely swollen disco ball, offensive to classical sensibilities and ontologies, dazzling as it sparkles, and setting all its linguistic and material surroundings alive with motion.
In a classical fact-finding economy, a fact generally operates within a simple true/false matrix. In such an economy, a fundamental analogy tends to be operative: truth = life, falsity = death. An ART-i-fact, due to it being both true and false (adding up to more than 100%) it is neither alive or dead. It is dynamically undead. The zombie nature of an ART-i-fact disrupts its linguistic and material surroundings, opening up its surroundings to the possibility of freedom from its former truth/falsity (life/death) dualism. This dualism always yields stasis, and stasis yields calcification which ultimately leads to the only kind of death that really matters. Death by fixity. As stay-alive humans run from a horde of zombies slowly advancing across suburban Pittsburgh, or a room of slow-dancers (animate and inanimate slow-dancers) swaying under the radiant and slow-moving and fractured light of a burgeoning zombie disco ball, so to an ART-i-fact’s linguistic and material surroundings are compelled to move as a result of the undead threat posed by an MMHTT ART-i-fact. —Authro Noté
