Atro Nöteē's Author's Note: Hermeneutics A.N.::Nöteē,Atro::3/8::Hermeneutics |
|
The act of texts reading other texts through their subtexts is called hermeneutics.
All texts “know” other texts insofar as they are in networked relationships with them. For instance, fire knows the cotton it consumes or moss knows the rock upon which it grows, but only in the way that is determined by their association and the way that that association—networked subtexts—code each other. In other words, they know each other in the way all subtexts know each other, through writing and being written upon.
Hermeneutics is a DEEPer knowing that gets at the text behind the text by clicking the text—the subtext— in front of the text, utilizing honed skills of subtextual analysis called ART appreciation. — Atro Nöteē
