A.N.s are cited throughout the MMHTT project in every section. Some A.N.s are placed in a section as auxiliary content explaining specific elements within that section. Other A.N.s are placed in a section as Easter eggs. These Easter egg A.N.s are sometimes stand alone, while others interlock, offering the Reader additional and new ways of interpreting the primary rhizome. Pay attention to an A.N.’s attribution and number count to know what kind of A.N. you are dealing with at any particular point. A.N.s also contain hypertexts that link you intertextually to other A.N.s. If you ever find yourself lost, always go back to the nav bar or click your web browser’s back button to get back to where you previously were.
Keep in mind, as a rhizome, the primary content of this project always constructs laterally. A.N.s form a supplemental, secondary content underneath the primary content, expressly purposed to help the Reader with additional information.
As such, A.N.s are instances of temporary verticality injected within this horizontal rhizome: external, underwriting voice(s) from on-high. While any injection of verticality into a rhizome carries with it the risk of potential damage to the rhizome— in rare cases actually causing CRC (complete rhizome collapse)— we feel it worth the risk to offer A.N.s as a helping hand to any Reader who might need it. —MMHTT
