5. DEEP epistemE (knowing in the biblical sense) is a process epistemology based on deep embeddedness, driven by desire. This is the only epistemology in existence based on a reciprocal knowing. DEEP epistemE is a system of knowing and being known. Of touching and being touched. It is a system of moving deep into the world while the world moves deep into the prospective knower. Most Western epistemologies are based primarily on a hands-free (no touching, no kissing) mono-directional penetration. DEEP epistemE (knowing in the biblical sense) is an epistemology based fundamentally on a never-ending, deeply material (yes touching, yes kissing) omni-directional interpenetration.
